Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Email us at [email protected].

What does ByteBrik actually estimate?

ByteBrik estimates the development cost and risk profile of a software idea. You describe what you want to build, and we break it down into components, integrations, and risk factors — then calculate a range of cost scenarios from optimistic to worst-case.

How accurate are the estimates?

Estimates are AI-generated based on your description and are intended to give you a realistic order-of-magnitude view — not a precise quote. They are most useful for deciding whether a project is feasible, comparing scopes, or preparing for conversations with developers. Do not use them as a substitute for a professional proposal.

What counts as one evaluation?

Each time you send an initial message that triggers a full estimation pipeline, one credit is consumed. Clarifying questions asked by ByteBrik before the estimation begins are free — credits are only deducted when an estimate is successfully produced.

What if the estimate is wrong or unhelpful?

Credits are consumed when the pipeline completes, regardless of whether you find the result useful. We do not offer refunds for completed evaluations. If the result seems off, try rephrasing your idea with more detail — the more specific your description, the better the estimate.

Can I re-estimate the same idea with more detail?

Yes. Each new message that triggers the pipeline is a new evaluation. You can refine your idea and run as many evaluations as your credits allow.

What happens to my submitted ideas?

Your ideas stay yours. We do not use them to build products, train AI models, or share them with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I get more credits?

You can purchase credits or redeem a coupon code on the Coupons page. If you received a promotional code, enter it there to add credits to your account.

What are strikes?

Strikes are accumulated when you submit requests that are not software projects — for example, general questions or non-software topics. After 10 strikes, 1 credit is automatically deducted. Strikes reset to zero each time a valid estimation is completed.

Can I archive or delete my chats?

Yes. Completed estimations can be archived — they disappear from your main chat list but remain accessible via the Archive page. Active chats can be deleted, which hides them from your account permanently (though data is retained on our end per our Privacy Policy).

How do I sign in?
